I haven’t shared anything from my mother in awhile, so I thought today was as good a day as any for a little humor. Courtesy of my mother, who received this from my brother, I think. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out the source… but regardless, the importance of punctuation.
And now that many of us are getting or have already been vaccinated, there’s this:
A throwback to the early days of the pandemic…
And a few of my own that I found while looking for other things on the internet, which makes one wonder how we manage to get anything done at all!
Remember this family? Spoiler alert: It didn’t end well.
Perhaps this will be the new normal moving forward…
And finally, I’ll end with this…
❤️
Too funny! Thanks for the giggle on this rainy, dreary day! ❤️
NYC is having the same weather as you, Jeri. Definitely a day for some ridiculousness! ❤️
Ariane, thanks to you and all the angels who deliver (in the fullest sense of the word), I’m doing well. In addition to the stitching, I have so enjoyed every one of your field trips. I started to write you a response after the trip to the galleries. It just got to be too much information. Suffice it to say, art in all its forms delivers! I’ve had my first vaccine; second will come next week. Yesterday I had a tiny glimpse of freedom as defined in the west…I got to drive 40 minutes across town on the freeway, in a fast moving wave of humanity, to deliver paperwork to my masked friend. I was alone in the car, but I got to use ALL of my words and ask many rhetorical questions, i.e. “You DO have a turn signal, don’t you?” Oh, that was reinvigorating! My Vegas Golden Knights are winning in front of a crowd of 20 percent capacity. I’m losing weight. Life is good. We are among the lucky ones. I am GRATEFUL. (And I am chatty, sorry!)
Haha! Love hearing that things are looking up!! The sense in New York City is definitely more upbeat and hopeful. ❤️
Always fun and interesting to catch up with your work and your life!
Thank you Linda. Sending love to you and Jay. ❤️
My husband and I are on a short road trip to Monterey and Santa Cruz, California. We are both vaccinated and felt a bit safer to travel. For the first time in a year, we dined inside of a cute restaurant in Santa Cruz. It was delightful! Plus, we found some very cool fabric at a store called Harts Fabrics in Santa Cruz.
Oh how lovely! I’m so looking forward when most NYers have been vaccinated so that we can go out to eat together and maybe have a little dinner party. I miss seeing friends and family!! ❤️
